(Reading Deuteronomy 26, a water baptism excerpt.)

This day, the Lord, thy God, hath commanded thee

to do these statutes and judgments:

thou shalt therefore keep and do them with all thine heart, and with all thy soul.

Thou hast avouched the Lord this day to be thy God,

and to walk in his ways,

and to keep his statutes, and his commandments, and his judgments,

and to hearken unto his voice:

And the Lord hath avouched thee this day

10 to be his peculiar people, as he hath promised thee,

11 and that thou shouldest keep all his commandments;

12 And to make thee high above all nations which he hath made,

13 in praise, and in name, and in honour;

14 and that thou mayest be an holy people unto the Lord, thy God, as he hath spoken.

15 (God’s prophecy.)

16 Give him the powers, the fortifications by your Word so that he resists the devil.

17 Yes, everywhere he is there, yes, the enemy shall rise against him;

18 but the Eternal, your God, is promising unto you tonight,

19 to keep you and to protect you, to preserve you, holy and pure, for his glory.

20 Ah, forsake not my Word and my Word will give you the necessary fortifications:

21 a mouth full of grace, a mouth full of blessings,

22 a mouth full of authority against evil, against darkness.
