___________

(Reading Isaiah 40, KJV1611, during a water baptism service.)

But they that wait upon the Lord shall renew their strength;

they shall mount up with wings as eagles;

they shall run, and not be weary;

and they shall walk, and not faint.

(God’s prophecy.)

For the Lord came so that we be such a people.

He came to fulfill the Scriptures

so that we be a people that will be created in what he said.

10 We are here today because of his promise, demonstrating his promise, says the Lord.

11 You shall know that I am the Lord, God, as you fulfill what I have called you to fulfill.

12 Go forth in my strength.

13 The strength of the eagle is one thing, but get in my strength.

14 Yes, my strength is the strength that thus need, thus says the Lord,

15 as I have given you an example this night, yes, that the natural man won’t understand;

16 but go forth in my Spirit, and you shall surpass the strength of the eagles.

17 In the name of the Lord, you shall surpass the strength of anyone,

18 because my strength will cause you to fortify your mind with my Word in you, thus says the Lord.
