 (Reading Isaiah 43, KJV 1611, during a water baptism.)

But now thus saith the Lord that created thee, O Jacob, and he that formed thee, O Israel:

Fear not: for I have redeemed thee, I have called thee by thy name; thou art mine.

When thou passest through the waters, I will be with thee; and through the rivers, they shall not overflow thee:

when thou walkest through the fire, thou shalt not be burned; neiher shall the flame kindle upon thee.

For I am the Lord thy God, the Holy One of Israel, thy Saviour: I gave Egypt for thy ransom, Ethiopia and Seba for thee.

Since thou wast precious in my sight, thou hast been honourable, and I have loved thee:

therefore will I give men for thee, and people for thy life.

Fear not: for I am with thee: I will bring thy seed from the east, and gather thee from the west.

(Reading in Proverbs 23.)

My son, if thine heart be wise, my heart shall rejoice, even mine.

Yea, my reins shall rejoice, when thy lips speak right things.

Let not thine heart envy sinners: but be thou in the fear of the Lord all the day long;

for surely there is an end; and thine expectation shall not be cut off.

Hear thou, my son, and be wise, and guide thine heart in the way.

Be not among winebibbers; among riotous eaters of flesh:

For the drunkard and the glutton shall come to poverty:

and drowsiness shall clothe a man with rags.

Hearken unto thy father that begat thee, and despise not thy mother when she is old.

Buy the truth, and sell it not; also wisdom, and instruction, and understanding.

The father of the righteous shall greatly rejoice: and he that begetteth a wise child shall have joy of him.

Thy father and thy mother shall be glad, and she that bare thee shall rejoice.

My son, give me thine heart, and let thine eyes observe my ways.

For a whore is a deep ditch; and a strange woman is a narrow pit.

(God’s prophecy.)

As you heard it, the Word that came unto you today,

that the Lord, your God, yes,

is calling us to not fear the enemy, to not fear any man,

is calling us to devout ourselves to his Word, is calling us to be honourable! Honourable!

He is the one who engendered us, but this Word today, after the crucifixion, after Christ came on Earth, yes,

yes, we are now engendered unto God through this Word;

yes, this is what happened to you the day you were born.

Since you are born, you heard, you listened, you saw, you observed, but still

what the Lord says today, the words he says,

yes those words you heard which make you pure by his blood,

washed you today of any sin for you to walk in his righteousness and in his prosperity.
