 (Reading John 14, KJV 1611, during a water baptism.)

If ye shall ask any thing in my name, I will do it. If ye love me, keep my commandments.

And I will pray the Father, and he shall give you another Comforter,

that he may abide with you for ever; even the Spirit of truth;

whom the world cannot receive, because it seeth him not, neither knoweth him:

but ye know him; for he dwelleth with you, and shall be in you.

I will not leave you comfortless: I will come to you.

(Reading Colossians 3, KJV 1611.)

If ye then be risen with Christ, seek those things which are Above, where Christ sitteth on the right hand of God.

Set your affection on things Above, not on things on the Earth.

For ye are dead, and your life is hid with Christ in God.

When Christ, who is our life, shall appear, then shall ye also appear with him in glory.

(Reading 2 Samuel 22, KJV 1611.)

The Lord is my Rock, and my Fortress, and my Deliverer;

The God of my Rock; in him will I trust:

He is my shield, and the Horn of my salvation, my High tower, and my Refuge,

my Saviour; thou savest me from violence.

I will call on the Lord, who is worthy to be praised: so shall I be saved from mine enemies.

(God’s prophecy)

As thou have heard today that oh yes, the Lord is my Rock,

yes, blessed be the name of the Lord, that Jesus came and promised

oh, to set your feet on the Rock-Christ,

and to give you the keys of the Kingdom yes, to overcome the devil,

as you testify and conquer the devil, yes,

because we have such a blessing to be standing on the Rock.

Ah, you have been thirsty for such a position to be standing

–and not to be there as nothing, but to be standing–

in the name of the Lord.
